# Liveness modes

Each workflow's Liveness Check step runs one of these modes, chosen in the workflow builder. Face checks and re-authentication use Action + Flash. The full report records the mode as `liveness_mode`. When liveness passes with a borderline score and nothing else is found, the person is asked once for another selfie before the verification goes to review; the report keeps the first result in `liveness_retry`.
