# `POST /v1/kyb/cases/{id}/declaration` — Declare the beneficial owners

Beneficial owners (ownership of 25% or more, or other control) or, where none can be identified, the controlling persons (management). Declared owners with an email or phone get a verification link when the workflow verifies beneficial owners. The applicant can also use the case's declaration_url. Needs kyb:write.

Parameters:
- `id` (path, string, required)

Body:
- `kind` (any, required) One of `beneficial_owners`, `controlling_persons`.
- `persons` (array of object, required)
  - `name` (string, required)
  - `date_of_birth` (string)
  - `nationality` (string): ISO 3166-1 alpha-3
  - `address` (string)
  - `ownership_pct` (number)
  - `control` (any, required) One of `ownership`, `other_control`, `management`.
  - `email` (string)
  - `phone` (string)
- `signer` (object, required)
  - `name` (string, required)
  - `function` (string)
- `confirmed` (boolean, required)

Responses:
- 201: Received: declaration_id and the invitations sent.
- 400: Invalid declaration.
- 404: No such case.
- 409: The case is closed or its company was not found.
