# `POST /v1/kyb/cases/{id}/persons/{personId}/verification` — Start a person's verification

Creates a verification session of the case's workflow for one person (a signatory or beneficial owner) and returns its url; with send_link the link goes out by email or SMS. Charged as a normal verification. At most 20 per case. Needs kyb:write.

Parameters:
- `id` (path, string, required)
- `personId` (path, string, required)

Body:
- `email` (string)
- `phone` (string): E.164, e.g. +41791234567
- `send_link` (any) One of `email`, `sms`.

Responses:
- 201: The verification: person_id, verification_id, url, link_sent.
- 404: No such case or person.
- 409: The person already has a verification, the case is closed, or the case reached 20 verifications.
- 422: A legal person cannot verify itself, or send_link lacks its contact.
